GrCh PR KnDs Blue Cyclone at Lone Oak

Multiple Best In Show Winner GrCh “PR” KnD’s Blue Cyclone at Lone Oak, pictured above is one of my conformation training/conditioning graduates. I have begun taking in a few outside wonderful conformation show potentials for show ring training, handling classes, conditioning, and or showing. An example is “PR” KnD’s Blue Cyclone at Lone Oak. In limited showing he is now, Multiple Best In Show Winner UKC GrCh “PR” KnD’s Blue Cyclone at Lone Oak. We could not be more pleased for this most awesome beloved talented lad, and his owners, he was such a joy to love, train, condition, work, play and live with.

A few kind words from the owners,

"I would also like to thank Kimberley Petross for the role she played in training Blue Cyclone for the conformation ring. She was immediately impressed with this little guy the moment she saw him and offered to work with him to prepare him for the ring. As I was in and out of the hospital at the time Kim made her offer I accepted, so she took The Cyclone to her home and began breaking him to lead, to table work, and to the automatic stack on stop commands. She has done a FINE job with this little guy.

I want to thank UKC Judges Dan Crutchfield, Karen Brancheau, and Ann Hearne for recognizing the worthiness of our little dog this past weekend. Each one of these Judges commented upon The Cyclone's musculature and finish (condition). The Cyclone turned one year of age two days before the first show in the past weekend's cluster, and is still not close to the level of refinement he will show when he is mature, but he is fairly ripped. The BEST thing about this little guy is his exceptionally good overall balance and movement that is simply to die for. Put those two ingredients together and shake 'em up and the recipe cannot help but come out a winner!

I know I am bragging shamelessly here, but I just have to make one last comment about the level of competition at the Baytown show...there weren't many RATs entered in the show, but of those that showed up there was a very good Mini male, an exceptionally good Standard male, and an exquisite Standard female that The Cyclone had to compete against in the classes. There was also one Grand Champion that is currently in the Top 10 for the second year running. So...The Cyclone had to pick up each one of his wins the hard way....he had to EARN them!

Kathleen was busy with the details of putting on the show, so I showed The Cyclone myself. I must say that I had a lot of ring rust from over a year of inactivity during my respite from the conformation ring. Despite this handicap, the Cyclone just seemed to laugh as if to say, "Come along Pops..pip pip now!" I know that little dog was laughing his patuty off at me trying to stride out at the pace he wanted to travel at. "

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This past weekend I bundled up a few Rat Terriers and made the trek
to McComb, Mississippi to the 4-show cluster sponsored by the
Mississippi State American Pit Bull Terrier Club.  The three Rat
Terriers I took to this show were all Champions, each with two wins
of the five needed towards their Grand Champion title.  To say that
each one of these dogs is VERY good is like saying that dark brown
chocolate fudge is sweet.  LOL!
THE COMPETITORS:
colored piebald patterned male of just 17 months of age.  Bred by Ken
Jones & Darla Ailey from two Lone Oak dogs; Owned by John & Kathleen
Chance; Trained by Kimberley Petross; Handled by John Chance.
UKC CH Lar-Mon's LBT Littlefoot at Lone Oak, DNA-P, is a
five of his Grand Champion legs in just three weekend show clusters!
On two of these occasions he won Best-of-Breed over the #1 Top 10
We offer basic obedience training in individual lessons, or class situations, puppy training as well as consultation on dog behavioral problems.
Our goal is to teach the owner principles of dog behavior, and training techniques appropriate to their dog so that the owner can train their pet to be a well mannered, and safe companion, at home or show.
Before you own a dog consultation sessions are also available. New owners with no previous dog owning experience need to understand the basics of dog psychology, and biology before choosing a pet, or breed. It is our firm belief that many dogs are given up by owners not understanding their needs before, and during ownership.
We have a lease a dog training program in which a person who does not have a dog can come to class and learn the basics of training using one of our young dogs.
We DO NOT offer training in protection/aggression work. This is a specialized field requiring experienced trainers who must be carefully screened.
Basic boarding for $35/day/per small/medium dog or $400/month in our standard kennel run. Larger runs are priced proportionally higher, as well higher fees for larger breeds..
Individualized indoor-outdoor runs. Run sizes
Basic kennel run is 10 feet by 10 feet outside, with inside temperature controlled indoor kenneling for all dogs at night, and kenneling for the hottest part of the day in summer, or coldest/wettest of winter. Dogs are crated at night, or during overly hot or bad weather days, taken out for exercise, play, as well potty trips, and checked on often through-out this period.
Double wide runs are available for a slightly higher price.
Individual exercise, walking, and play sessions are arranged for each dog, every day, provided that the dog is comfortable with us. Very shy or aggressive dogs are not enrolled in the walking/play session services with other dogs, but are exercised individually. Additional charges may apply depending on aggressive behavior, very overly aggressive/shy dogs will not be accepted for boarding.
Basic bathing and grooming services are available, at additional cost. Any dog boarding for longer then 7 days, the dog is bathed, and groomed at the owner's cost every 7 days. Bathing fees are $25.00, for small dogs, $35.00, for medium, and $40.00, for large breeds. Grooming for short coated breeds is $10.00, for small breeds, $15.00, for medium, and $20.00, for large breeds. Grooming for long coated breeds is $30.00, for small breeds, $40.00, for medium breeds, and $50.00, for large breeds. Nail trimming can be done for an added fee of $10.00 small breeds, $15.00 medium breeds, and $25.00 for large breeds. Coat clipping or stripping call for quotes.
Obedience training during boarding may also be arranged for additional cost.
The normal hours that the kennel is open for boarding pick ups and drop offs are:
4-8 p.m. Mon ~ Sat.. except major holidays & Sunday
In many cases individual appointments can be arranged outside of these hours & days.
